I would very much like to be considered for the civil engineering position which is available at
your firm. Enclosed, as requested, please find a copy of my updated resume. As indicated on
the enclosed resume, my experience and qualifications favorably fit the position description,
including high proficiency in AutoCad, SoftDesk, MicroStation and familiarity with Fulton,
Cobb and Gwinnett County and State of Georgia requirements, including commercial,
residential, and industrial site design. As you can see from the attached resume, I have a
significant amount of civil engineering experience in several specialties. My “pride-and-joy”
project has been the design, management, and serving as engineer-of-record for the civil
engineering portion of the Gwinnett Arena in Duluth, Georgia (350,000 SF sports arena and a
73,000 SF ballroom).
I have recently completed a one-year deployment to Kandahar, Afghanistan as the Resident

In this capacity, it was my responsibility for management of all personnel, and inspection of all
new facility construction, transportation projects, geotechnical and structural projects. This
entailed the design and quality assurance of complex construction projects worth $5M to $30M
in support of OEF.
I would very much welcome the opportunity to discuss this position with you, and can be available
for an interview immediately. You may reach me by cell phone at 770-310-1965 or by mail at the
